Norrøna pureOrganic cotton is:GOTS*/EKO certified organic cotton. Farming practices, fabric processing and dyeing are internationally certified. Demand for cotton has dramatically increased over the past two generations. Current intensive production methods use over a quarter of the planet’s pesticides. These chemicals take their toll on human health and the environment, depleting the soil and polluting water. Every T-shirt made of non-organic cotton is composed of, on average, 27% toxic residues. Organic cotton is produced without the use of harmful pesticides, harsh chemical bleaches or dyes and is allergy-free. Norrøna is committed to using pure organic materials wherever possible.
